PredictWind — Marine Forecasts app good for
its simple, clear and very helpful for sailing decisions without having to check many different sources. I love the 0.1 model precision . some maps are too small for iphone screen.
By far the best weather routing and weather forecasting model existing
Really useful and reliable prediction. Awesome to be able to compare three forecast and make up your own opinion. A must app that I use everyday for sailing, kitesurfing or even just planning a hike or a surf.
I find Predictwind very precise in comparison with Windguru and Windfinder, at least for my spots. Good overview too. But the lack of a simple refresh function and not beeing able to set the hours displayed on the forecast reduces the rating by one star.
I am only using the free version.
The wind forecast works surprisingly very, very well in my area.
However it is a bit complicated to set up and therefore does not motivate me to upgrade for the pro version at this stage.
Its working great for me on my iPhone
Im using this app so Ill know if its gona be a good or bad day to ride the motorbike
Some bad moments
First asking fo sendung pushmails - no comment ( for what?) Than it needs an account. This is not Worth to Download it in my opinion
Great idea , but does not work on my iPad. Too many bugs to fix with the display and logics of logging in before it could be recommended.
The wind map is not working well when moving the map in scale our place.
Much Too expensive
Perhaps the data is excellent, but the app is poorly written - to the point where I dont know how it managed to get through the App Store screening process. This might pass for a reasonable app a couple years ago, but its 2013 and the bar is higher. Better apps out there for the purpose.
And at least for the carribbean, I find the weather model to be a bit too pessimistic v.s. others.
Looks like could be a helpful app but so many features are disabled it is essentially useless. I get more information by looking out the window at the flag poles and the cloud movements than from this app. Dont bother. It looks really nice, nice graphics, tempts with hints of nice features, but useless. Just like some if the women I know.. Lol!
Oops. Must have written my password down wrong and now apparently no way to recover or reset. So, off it goes. Cant re-register as it recognizes my email and forwards to login again. Wont be chasing this one, dont need another exercise in frustration. Good luck folks.
