Try this app! A good predicter more than others

The best weather service in the world!

Really great software!

I rely on this weather service constantly but the iPhone app is weak. For instance there is no way to reliably change the magnification of the tables up or down. It also needs a better way to hide rows and then display them. For a service this good I expect an app just as good.

In order to get this app you have to sign up with an email address... My email was immediately flooded with spam and random advertisements and has since. Its been a slow process to unsubscribe from all these spam senders. Money hungry app if you ask me... Deleted

Very useful and easy to use.

Really good real time info especially for wind.

I find the app very useful, and accurate, for sailboat racing in San Francisco Bay. The latest update features significantly enhance graphics that make the information even clearer and particularly good for showing changes through the day.

Weather info is unmatched for its intuitive presentation of comprehensive data. I especially value seeing more than several forecasts at once. A real time-saver. The departure planning tool greatly increases my confidence when planning offshore passages in our trawler (6.5 knot cruising speed). Integration of PredictWind with the IridiumGO! device is seamless and the data feed is surprisingly fast and reliable. Best of all, because of the satellite connectivity, PredictWind functions as well while underway as it does in port. All in all, it is an outstanding product.

I would never ever sail without consulting PredictWind software. I sail a lot in the Mediterranean sea, by the way a dangerous sea, PredictWind is my only companion. Thank you guys.

Whilst charting our crossing of the Sea of Foulness, we queried often the Tome of Swishy Gestures and found a hidden prognosticator of weather, the PredictWind. To our wonder and delight it would warn us of the Four Winds becoming angry and even Poseidon himself could not stop our progress. Praise to the PredictWind and five stars burning bright to its name. May it also hasten your sea journeys and bring you back to port safely as it did ours.

Models seem great. Alerts are god-awful poor. I set an alert to let me know when wind is >10kts at a certain location, and I get an alert. It says “You have an alert. Your forecast has been updated.” Worst of all, I have written to the company asking them if they have plans to get more sophisticated and provide (gasp!) actual data in the alert, and they apparently have no clue how this feature could be improved. Thus I use WindAlert, because its alerts are awesome; better app even if model may be inferior.

Really difficult to do this well, and this is done well. I get all of the options I want at the right price, and this interprets the GRIBs so that I dont have to, and makes them highly readable. MUCH more than NOAA will ever be able to give you, with better wind incrementation. Im a coastal cruiser, so I havent used their fancy weather route planning, but I cruise the PNW, so theres a lot of flukey wind prediction to achieve, and this product does that for you. takes some time to load, because its animation, but well worth the wait.

I use this in the Puget Sound when I go sailing. Amazingly, within 1-2 days it is spot-on greater than 80% of the time, which is quite a feat in the Convergence Zone of the Puget Sound. Only gave it 4 because sometimes the map graphic wouldnt update when I panned around.

Fits actual conditions better than most

This is the one weather app I look to before I sail the Chesapeake Bay. It gives precise hourly predictions which continue to amaze. Remember, it is predicting the weather! I use it a few days out for general planning and a few hours out to decide which way to sail.

There are lots of apps out there the claim to do Half of what the app can do. The only differences this app actually does twice as much as all the rest does it correctly concisely easy-to-read easy to navigate easy to understand very well done.
